The Book of Revelation – Greetings and Doxology

The Book of Revelation Greetings and Doxology is covered in this blog post. John is the personification of the state of consciousness of “Faith.” This was an awakened individual sharing what He received through vision. Doxology is a liturgical formula of praise to God.

Greetings and Doxology

John,

To the seven churches in the province of Asia:

Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father-to him be glory and power forever and ever! Amen. “Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen.  “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

The Symbolism

The earth has chakra points and the 7th chakra (the crown chakra is located in Mount Kailas, Tibet).  Seven in Hebrew (the ancient tongue) represents rest, wholeness, completeness, ripe, order, stability, and holiness. The seven spirits are the seven distinct expressions of the Holy Spirit. They are the spirit of the Lord, the spirit of wisdom, the spirit of understanding, the spirit of knowledge, the spirit of counsel, the spirit of might, and the spirit of the fear of the Lord.

Jesus Christ is the man in the state of one knowing and exercising the power and wisdom of God.  The firstborn of humanity from the profound state of sleep is likened unto death—the man who is witness to this power and wisdom (through revelation, visions, etc.). The cloud is a veil between this world of death (Profound sleep).

The entire Book of Revelation tells a story of awakening. This story was foretold in the Old Testament and played out in the New Testament. In this greetings and doxology, John shares what happens as Christ comes to awaken humanity. It is a beautiful unfolding that is full of symbolism not easily seen. The Bible is mystical and written on purpose so that it cannot be easily understood. However, the mystery reveals itself in time to the awakened man if he desires to see the truth hidden in the scriptures.
