Transforming Your Reality
Transforming your reality takes patience and persistence. In my quest to overcome anxiety and depression, I delved into the Law of Attraction and encountered the concept of “raising your vibration.” However, trying to elevate your frequency when you can barely get out of bed can feel like an uphill battle. While raising your vibration is a valid approach, I believe that focusing on changing your assumptions can be a more accessible path to transformation. Our assumptions, accepted as true without proof, shape our daily experiences, regardless of our mood. By consciously altering these assumptions, we can gradually change the way we feel and create the reality we desire.
Often, our assumptions run deep, and we may not even be aware of them. For example, I used to associate running the air conditioner with an increase in my electric bill. However, by challenging that assumption and persisting in the belief that my bill could be lower, it became a reality. Changing assumptions may sound simplistic or unrealistic, but it is a powerful practice. If you assume crowds will make you anxious, you will feel anxious. But by persisting in the assumption that you enjoy crowds, you can eventually find joy in those situations. The same applies to labels like depression – identifying ourselves with such assumptions reinforces their presence in our lives.
Beyond Constant Positivity
While there is an abundance of advice on maintaining a positive mindset to raise your vibration, staying in a high-vibration state consistently is challenging. It’s unrealistic to expect ourselves to be positive all the time to create the life we desire, even with affirmations and gratitude practices. However, when it comes to overcoming anxiety, depression, or any other challenges, changing underlying assumptions is key.
If you’re striving for happiness but repeatedly affirming it while harboring an underlying belief that you don’t deserve it, you’ll find yourself spinning your wheels. Changing assumptions is possible, even if you’re in a “low vibration” state. Persistence in adopting new assumptions is crucial. Wanting to be in a “higher vibration,” which is essentially a mental state, is valid, but it’s not a prerequisite for overcoming anxiety, depression, or any other obstacles. I stand as living proof that transformation is achievable, regardless of your current vibration.
As you embark on your journey to transform your reality, remember the power of changing assumptions. While raising your vibration is one approach, altering your underlying assumptions is a more accessible and impactful path. Examine the assumptions that shape your experiences and persistently introduce new beliefs that align with the reality you desire. It is not necessary to constantly maintain a high vibration to overcome anxiety, depression, or any other challenges. By changing your assumptions, you can transcend the limitations and create a life filled with joy, fulfillment, and freedom. Be persistent and know that everything you desire to be, do, have, or experience is possible. Do not give up. The life you desire is right around the corner.
