Harvesting the Earth
Harvesting the Earth and trampling the winepress is found in the Book of Revelation. “I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, ‘Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.’ So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.”
The Meaning of Revelation 14:15-20
The cloud is the garment of your consciousness. We are looking at the Book of Revelation in terms of awakening, but if we were discussing from a manifesting point of view, then the word cloud represents your assumption. The word white, broken down in Hebrew, is W = Vav, associated with the number 6. Vav means nail or becoming bound. In terms of manifestation, it means you become aware of being that which you were aware. Harvesting the Earth has nothing to do with people being taken up to a physical heaven in the sky.
It is the third letter in God’s name Yod He Vav He, the four living creatures mentioned in Revelation. The H is associated with the number five and means to reveal. It is a window/eye. In terms of manifesting, the visible objective world constantly bears witness to that which you are conscious of being. You are aware of something.
The I – Lamedh is associated with the number thirty. It means staff, teach, learn; it is the tongue. The T is tech and is associated with the number nine. It is a snake, and the snake represents Spirit. The letter E has no number or meaning that I could find associated with it. So, if we add these numbers together, we get five which represents power, strength, and alertness – a call to wake up.
The son of man on the cloud is a messenger, one like David, representing Awakened Humanity. The sickle is used for reaping. The Earth is Man – Think awakening. Consciousness is rising; people are awakening. The earth is ripe for harvesting, to wake up, to reap – God in man awakening as God. Harvesting the Earth is harvesting man, awakening man.
Trampling the Winepress
Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he, too, had a sharp sickle. Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Take your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth’s vine because its grapes are ripe.” The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes, and threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath. They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses’ bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.
Fire means wrath with retribution and reward. It is illumination. The grapes are the first fruits of the Vine – Jesus, the power and wisdom of God, said I am the Vine, ye are the branches. Grapes are used for making wine – the application of psychological truth.
One thousand six hundred stadia = seven, which means Rest, cessation from work, wholeness, completeness, being ripe, order, stability, and holiness. Stadia is a unit of length. Think seven days. Finally, the horse symbolizes man’s understanding, and the bridle means rein.
