The Power of Your Thoughts
The power of your thoughts can be harnessed for the relief of anxiety and depression. It’s a remarkable fact that our thoughts hold incredible influence over our lives. Particularly when it comes to anxiety and depression, we often inadvertently give these conditions power by dwelling on negative thoughts. However, by consistently monitoring our thoughts and shifting our mindset, we have the ability to diminish, and even eliminate, these feelings. It may sound simple, and in reality, it can be.
The challenge lies in our tendency to let our thoughts run wild, assuming they are uncontrollable entities. But that’s far from the truth. The reality is that we have ultimate control over our thoughts. It took me some time to realize this and understand the work required to make a change. Over the years, I experimented with various approaches like medications, meditation, hypnosis, and affirmations. However, I lacked persistence in my efforts.
Then, I discovered the concept of a “mental diet” and decided to give it a try consistently for the past month. I learned to closely monitor my thoughts and immediately shift them whenever I caught myself engaging in negativity. Although I had been free from depression and anxiety for almost two years, I still encountered remnants of my old thought patterns from time to time. Previously, I would simply let them be, hoping they would fade away. But I realized the importance of catching these thoughts and promptly transforming them into ones that serve us better. This is where the true power of your thoughts lies.
I’m still in the process of learning, but I can confidently say that I’m not the same person I was a year or two ago. My mindset has undergone a complete transformation. About a month ago, I stumbled upon lectures by Neville Goddard, which unlocked the missing piece for me. Prior to that, I had delved into the Law of Attraction, dabbled in Quantum Physics, and tried to understand the workings of the subconscious mind. I’ve watched countless YouTube videos on the subject.
It all clicked when I discovered Neville Goddard, and subsequently, Joseph Alai, who runs a YouTube channel and website called “A Sovereign Mind.” Their techniques deeply resonated with me. I can confidently attribute my journey toward overcoming depression and anxiety to the way I now speak about myself and the situations I encounter in my life. By understanding the power of your thoughts, you too can harness that power.
If you’re currently grappling with anxiety and depression, I encourage you to start with baby steps. Whenever you catch yourself thinking, “I feel so depressed,” make a conscious effort to replace it with “I feel so happy.” Even if you don’t genuinely feel happiness at that moment, give it a try and persist with it. By consistently transforming one negative thought into a positive one, you’ll be amazed by the profound effects it can have.
Remember, the power of your thoughts. Embrace that power, harness it, and let it guide you towards a brighter and more fulfilling life, free from the shackles of anxiety and depression.
