Blessed Are The Poor
Blessed are the Poor, for your is the kingdom of heaven. What does this mean from a non-secular, mystical point of view? I mean mystical when the symbolism reveals itself to an awakened man. Well, in the post, I will explain. I will also provide insight into The Gospel of Thomas, verses fifty-three through fifty-eight.
The Gospel of Thomas
Verse fifty-three states: His disciples said to him, “Is circumcision beneficial or not?” He said to them, “If it were beneficial, their father would beget them already circumcised from their mother. Rather, the true circumcision in spirit has become completely profitable.” Verse fifty-four states: Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor, for yours is the kingdom of heaven.”
The disciples personify in man the twelve aspects of the mind. There is a mystical meaning to circumcision, and Neville Goddard spoke about it in his teachings. However, as I read the passage, I received no additional revelation so I won’t cover it here. Perhaps at a later time, as I discuss passages from other Books of the Bible.
I can tell you that the meaning of circumcision is not what the secular world thinks it is. That was interpreted and put into place by those who did not truly understand the Bible. The poor are those who are not complacent, not satisfied. Do not accept the evidence of your senses but change your state of consciousness to embody, to be, the person you want to be. Everything you desire is already within you. That is the Kingdom of Heaven. So, blessed are the poor, those who are not complacent because they will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
Each time you read the Bible and come across a blessed are the poor verse; or blessed are the poor in spirit verse, think of the man with a disciplined mind. I will discuss heaven more as I share insight on awakening and ascension in other blog posts.
Verse fifty-five states: Jesus said, “Whoever does not hate his father and his mother cannot become a disciple to me. And whoever does not hate his brothers and sisters and take up his cross in my way will not be worthy of me.” Verse fifty-six states: Jesus said, “Whoever has come to understand the world has found (only) a corpse, and whoever has found a corpse is superior to the world.”
I do not know why the word hate is used here. However, our earthly father and mother are only other souls. We chose (as divine beings, as Gods) to have these experiences before incarnating on earth. Therefore, our mothers and fathers are simply part of our experience. Give up the idea that there is any power outside of self. Take up the cross (your body), follow Christ (the Power and the wisdom of God), and let all else go. There is no causation outside of self, and you will find nothing outside that is not first found within. Do not follow others, the evidence of your senses. If you understand the world as you see it, you are only looking at what is dead. However, if you realize that it is dead, you have found your true self (God) and can rise above this dead world, knowing that you give it life.
Verse fifty-seven states: Jesus said, “The kingdom of the father is like a man who had good seed. His enemy comes by night and sows weeds among the good seed. The man did not allow them to pull up weeds; he said to them; I am afraid that you will go intending to pull up the weeds and pull up the wheat along with them.” For on the day of the harvest, the weeds will be visible and pulled up and burned.” Verse fifty-eight states: Jesus said, “Blessed is the man who has suffered and found life.”
The man with a good seed cultivated and disciplined the mind (the meek man). When doubts or fears arise, they sow weeds among the good thoughts, among the seeds of desire that have been planted. The meek man does not allow doubts, fears, and negative thoughts to grow in the disciplined mind (the mind of Christ). It is not up to others to ease your fears and doubts; instead, learn to observe them. When you become the observer, your thoughts, beliefs, fears, doubts, assumptions, etc., are easy to see. When you see them, you know what you must change. You plant new seeds as you suffer through the unwanted manifestations of your thoughts, fears, beliefs, etc., and learn to replace them with desirable thoughts. You have found life in the Father, in power and the wisdom of God, the kingdom of heaven within you.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven is really about the meek man with a disciplined mind. Anyone can manifest the life they desire. The entire Bible is about this journey of awakening, teaching us how we can manifest and how we ultimately awaken.
