This Heaven Will Pass Away

The Gospel of Thomas

This Heaven will pass away, and I have cast fire upon the world. What do these passages mean from an awakened, mystical perspective? In these two passages from the Gospel of Thomas, I will explain the symbolism based on any revelation I’ve experienced since my awakening in 2019. Much of that experience has come from my understanding of the teachings of Neville Goddard. However, some of the insight comes from the revelation I’ve received while reading through scripture, which has evolved over the past couple of years. The passages are as follows:

Heaven Will Pass Away

In verse ten of The Gospel of Thomas, Jesus said, “I have cast fire upon the world, and see, I am guarding it until it blazes.” In verse eleven, Jesus said, “This heaven will pass away, and the one above it will pass away. The dead are not alive, and the living will not die. In the days when you consumed what is dead, you made it alive. When you come to dwell in the light, what will you do? On the day when you were one, you became two. But when you become two, what will you do?”

As I have mentioned in previous posts on scripture, Jesus is a state of consciousness, the personification of the power and wisdom of God. At first, the passage reads as though actual fire was cast upon the world as we currently know fire to be. However, Hebrews 1:29 states, “For Our God is a Consuming Fire.” Remember, the bible is all psychological truth, revelation, and vision. So, the individual(s) who authored the books of the bible is telling of their experiences, hearing and knowing the truth of God, and receiving revelation through the power and the wisdom that is that state called Jesus Christ.

God has cast himself upon the world. God is guarding himself until he blazes. This heaven within (the garment of flesh) and the heaven above, the one so many believe to be in the sky, will pass away. The dead are those in a profound state of sleep. Sleep is so profound that this dream of life is likened to death. The living is those who have fully awakened, are called by God’s grace, and have eternal life. In the days when you consumed what is dead (think of an old memory or unwanted experience), you make it alive (manifest by focusing your attention on it), and when you come to dwell in the light (Jesus Christ – that state of consciousness that is the Power and Wisdom of God). What are you going to do? Will you believe God’s word, or will you believe in this dead, shadow world?

On the day you were one (When you were God – The Elohim), you became two (God became man in the flesh). But when you become two, what will you do? What will you do in this life? What will you do when you hear the word and believe it? This heaven will pass away. All things shall pass away, but the word of God.

You may not understand the symbolism now, but you will in time, either this lifetime or in a lifetime to come. There are no coincidences in this life.
