Learning to Love Yourself

Learning to Love Yourself

Learning to love yourself is one of the most important things that we can create for ourselves in this life. Looking back now, through the lens of my spiritual awakening and the journey that followed, I see my younger self with so much compassion. Yet there was very little, if any, self-love.

That version of me often wondered, What’s wrong with me? Why do I feel so different? Growing up, I constantly felt out of place, especially in social settings where most kids were focused on fitting in and being liked. Now, I realize there was nothing wrong with me. I was simply navigating the world without the awareness I have today about self-love, beliefs, and assumptions. Embracing self-love has transformed my relationship with myself.

Still, I wouldn’t trade those experiences, as challenging as they were. They were the stepping stones that led me to where I am now—a spiritual teacher and conscious manifestation coach, living in alignment with my purpose.

Understanding and practicing self-love is essential for anyone. It allows you to fully embrace who you are. Moreover, it helps you manifest your true potential.

Writing Was My First Love

As a child, I loved to write. Back then, I thought I’d grow up to be a journalist. While my life took a very different path, that desire to express myself through words never left me.

Somewhere along the way, though, I became derailed—caught in the whirlwind of anxiety and depression, searching for purpose in all the wrong places. What I didn’t realize then was that my purpose wasn’t something I needed to chase; it was something I needed to uncover.

For many years, I sought love, validation, and acceptance from others, believing they held the keys to my happiness. Insecurity kept me from truly loving myself, even though a small, quiet part of me always believed I was destined for more.

It’s hard to articulate the dissonance I felt—being so lost yet holding a deep conviction that my true self was waiting to be rediscovered. At times, it felt like I was living two lives, disconnected from the truth of who I was.

The Power of Turning Inward

One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned—and one I wish I’d known sooner—is that seeking love and validation outside yourself is a losing game. True fulfillment comes from within. When you look inward, you tap into the infinite power and wisdom of your consciousness.

If I had realized this earlier, I could have saved myself so much heartache. But I also recognize that those difficult lessons were necessary. They taught me resilience, self-worth, and the strength to embrace my authentic self.

Don’t Lose Yourself

One message I share often as a coach is this: Don’t lose yourself trying to fit into someone else’s mold. Don’t abandon your independence or your voice to gain love or validation. You’ll look back at the old version of yourself with gratitude for the lessons learned and amazement at how far you’ve come.

Don’t trade your vision for conformity. Don’t silence your dreams to join the masses. Instead, take time for stillness and introspection. Observe your thoughts and let go of the ones that don’t align with the version of yourself you want to become.

Those limiting beliefs aren’t who you are; they’re simply remnants of what you’ve been told, what you’ve seen, and what you’ve learned through the years.

When you stop seeking happiness outside yourself and begin the work of self-discovery, everything changes. As you learn to love yourself and release what no longer serves you, a new version of you will emerge—one that’s aligned with your highest purpose.

You’ll look back at the old version of yourself with gratitude for the lessons learned and amazement at how far you’ve come.

Your Power Awaits

The power to create the life you desire has always been yours. My journey is a testament to that truth. Now, as a spiritual teacher and manifestation coach, I aim to guide others in unlocking their inner power.

So, to anyone feeling lost, know that you’re not alone or broken. Your path is unfolding perfectly, even if it doesn’t seem that way right now. Find yourself. Love yourself. And step boldly into the life you were always meant to live.
