To the Church in Pergamum

To the Church in Pergamum is the letter written by John in the Book of Revelation. John was not the actual name of the individual who wrote Revelation.  John is the personification of a state of consciousness. The individual who wrote the Book of Revelation and the letter To the Church in Pergamum was an awakened individual.

John writes to the Church in Pergamum

To the angel of the church in Pergamum, write: These are the words of him who has the sharp, double-edged sword. I know where you live-where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city where Satan lives.

Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality. Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

The Double-Edge Sword and Repentance

Our tongues are double-edged swords.  In one moment, we can speak kind things, and in the next, speak words of judgment and unkindness.  God is in man as man and is, therefore, the being with the double-edged sword.  Our higher self which is God knows exactly the states of consciousness in which we reside at every moment.  Satan represents our doubts and takes up the throne in our lives. We have the power within us to overcome those doubts through the power and wisdom of God, personified as Jesus Christ.

Repent means to have a radical change of attitude. To completely change your state of consciousness. Moving out of the old story, you hold yourself into the new one.  The one who hears the Word of God and believes, the one who does not give in to doubt but has faith, is victorious.  Manna, in Hebrew, was the supernatural food given to those who believed the word of God.  This supernatural food was spiritual nourishment for the soul. It was not actual food. The stone is the body but a body not made of flesh and blood but the spiritual body (the soul). Every individual has a soul name, but the name is unique and known only to the one who receives it because it isn’t known or pronounced in the way we pronounce words in this human form.

Balaam and Balak also represent states of consciousness, as the other characters do. I will discuss them later when I write about the 72 demons, the 72 angels, and the 72 names of God.

Finally, in John’s letter to the Church in Pergamum, he speaks about faith and repentance.  Is there anything that resonates with you on a deeper level now? More profound than what you may have been told in church? If so, pay attention to what resonates.  I have only shared what has come through regarding the meaning of the passages in John’s letter To the Church in Pergamum. However, this is a journey, so new information always comes through, so stay tuned. I will continue to share.
