The Infant’s Father

The Infant’s Father

The infant’s father is the title I gave to the series of dreams I had on February 10, 2020. The infant can be significant in dreams, representing the birth from above.  It is awakening – that is birth.  Many of my dreams contain significant symbolism that correlates to scripture. So I can say, as Neville Goddard did in many of his lectures, that I know by experience.

I dreamt that I was at a party at someone’s house. While there, I found (or was handed) a note. The note mentioned something about vomiting then the scene shifted, and I was standing in the home’s kitchen.  I went to throw the note away, and when I opened the garbage can, I saw the infant.

A friend was standing next to me when I noticed an olive-skinned infant lying in the garbage can on top of the trash.  I now realize why the note mentioned vomiting.  After all, seeing an infant discarded in the trash would be enough to make anyone sick.  However, there was far more to the symbolism of this dream of the infant and his father.

The Infants Parents

Then, in the next dream, my friend and I decided to find the infant’s parents. We did not find the mother, but we did find the infant’s Father. The father did not know about the infant. It seemed the mother had discarded the infant without ever telling the infant’s father that he had a child.  At this point in the dream, the father’s identity is unclear.

The Infant is Mine

There was a third dream. In the third dream, I was kissing a man who happened to be my old boyfriend from high school. He was the infant’s father. As we kissed, I realized that there were still some feelings there. So, as he walked towards his motorcycle, I asked him what he was doing that night. I asked him if he wanted to come to my house for dinner. He agreed!

Finally, when he got to his bike, he stood beside it, looking at me. Then, out of nowhere, he momentarily held up the infant by one leg. He then held the baby close against him to show the sharp contrast of skin color between him and the infant. Despite the contrast, the infant’s father smiled broadly as if both happy and surprised and said, “He is mine.”

The Symbolism

The first symbol is the word vomit which means to purge or to let go of. The garbage is waste. As I was reflecting on the dream, I found this passage of scripture in 1 Samuel 2:8 “He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and he hath set the world upon them.

The infant’s leg represents Adam’s rib, which is the thigh, and represents the creative aspect of man. So, the series of dreams is symbolic of spiritual death and rebirth.  It is symbolic of awakening.
